Welcome to the Southfield Children’s Center, Inc.  The center has been providing quality childcare and early education services in the greater Hartford area since 1974.

The center runs an educational program that is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.  The program is developmentally
appropriate and focuses on the process of learning.  We implement the Creative Curriculum’s learning goals and objectives.  It is designed to help children develop positive self-esteem by allowing them to work and play both indoors and outdoors at their own pace, choosing from many exciting experiences throughout the classrooms with the support of our outstanding teaching staff.

We see your child’s early childhood experience as an exciting adventure!  It is often a child’s first journey into the “outside” world without the comforting presence of a parent.  With excitement may also come an initial fear of the unknown, a fear that must be recognized and dealt with by you and our professional staff.  Once your child’s initial fears have been conquered, then will begin a true sense of realization and independence in your child. It will then be our mission to keep this positive sense progressing throughout your child’s preschool experience.
